"Clark Report" comes to Box Hill

News Release - 4 October 1993

The Member for Box Hill, Mr Robert Clark, is bringing to Box Hill the tradition of holding an annual public meeting to report to the electorate and answer questions from constituents.

The holding of an annual public meeting was a long-standing practice in Mr Clark's previous electorate of Balwyn. When the Balwyn electorate was abolished before the last election, Mr Clark pledged to continue the tradition if elected as Member for Box Hill.

This is the first annual report to the Box Hill electorate by Mr Clark since the state election last year.

This year's "Clark Report" will be held on Monday, October 18 at Koonung Secondary College, Elgar Road, Box Hill North, from 8.00pm.

The Minister for Industry and Employment, Mr Phil Gude, will be the guest speaker and will answer questions from the floor.

The theme of this year's meeting is "Continuing to Rebuild", looking at the next steps for rebuilding Victoria after a year of Coalition government.

The meeting will also discuss local and state issues that particularly affect the electorate.

As well, Mr Clark will report on parliamentary proceedings and his activities as Member over the past year.

All residents of the Box Hill electorate are invited to attend, regardless of political views.

Anyone wishing to have a particular issue discussed at the meeting can give notice to Robert Clark's office on 898 6606.
