Senior Citizens Week 1999

Senior Citizens Week will again be held in Victoria on March 14-21 next year, the United Nations International Year of Older Persons.

As part of the occasion, the Government is sponsoring the Senior Citizen of the Year Award and providing grants for individuals and groups for specific projects during the week.

Applications and nominations for both initiatives are now open.

The closing date for grants is September 18; the date for nominations is February 5, 1999.
