Government sponsors Interact Festival for fourth year
The State Government will continue as the major sponsor of the Interact Asia-Pacific Multimedia Festival for the fourth consecutive year. The Minister for Information Technology and Multimedia, Alan Stockdale, said that this years event, taking place from August 20 to September 3, is expected to attract 40,000 visitors, 250 exhibitors and delegations from more than 10 countries from Asia, Europe and America. Highlights of this years festival include the Interact+PCIT trade fair, an extensive conference program, international networking reception, and the presentation of the Australian Financial Review-Telstra Australian Internet Awards. "The program of conferences will give companies access to information about the impact of technology on specific industry sectors, including health, education and government."
