18 research scholarships for Gippsland
RMIT is to provide 18 Gippsland-based scholarships to help boost the research and educational capacity of the region. Valued at $900,000 over three years, the scholarships will bring together post-graduate students from across Australia to focus on coastal and inland water issues and the Gippsland Lakes Ecosystem. Fields of study include aquatic ecology, environmental management, water engineering and catchment management. The projects would complement the comprehensive work undertaken by the State Government to ensure the future of one of Victorias greatest natural assets. Assistance will also be offered to students through the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
