The State Opposition in Victoria is constituted by the Liberal Party. In the
Legislative Assembly, there are 17 Liberal Members out of 88 Members. In the
Legislative Council, there are 15 Liberal Members out of 44 Members.

since the change of Government in Victoria in October 1999.
The Secretary
to the Shadow Cabinet is Andrew Brideson, who is also responsible for Scrutiny of
Government and Waste Watch. Robin Cooper is responsible for Parliamentary Strategy,
Portfolio and Policy Coordination
The Opposition also has Spokespersons who have responsibility for other portfolio
areas.
