There are lots of web sites around, and only so many hours in the day to look at them.
Sometimes having advice on what might not be useful or relevant to one's needs can be
as valuable as a list of recommended sites. As well, what is junk for one person can
be exactly what someone else is looking for.
For these reasons, we are providing this list of sites which we have looked at for
possible inclusion on our "Useful Links" lists, but ended up not including,
together with some brief comments.
An obvious disclaimer - sites can change over time, and our comments are based on sites
as they were when we looked at them.
